This course will review ACLS medications, as well as any medications that are frequently used in a cardiovascular setting. This course offers several cardiovascular related topics. Conscious Sedation Basic Arrhythmia Interpretation
This course is a generic overview of the principles of conscious sedation. The course includes a discussion of the following agents: Diprivan, Sublimaze, Valium, Ativan, and Versed. Pathophysiology Angles and Arteries
This course is designed for discussion of etiology, signs and symptoms, pathologies, diagnostic testing, and treatment of various cardiovascular related pathologies. This course reviews the coronary arteries, great vessels, and the ventricular chambers, as well as the angles utilized to opacify them. The speaker will use examples of angulation with the aid of diagrams, and actual pictures taken in the cath lab to demonstrate various positioning of the cameras in AP, RAO, & LAO views with cranial and caudal angulation. Basic Echocardiography Basic Electrocardiography
This course discusses the basic fundamentals of cardiac ultrasonography. The course will focus on various clinical techniques such as: three dimensional echo, stress echo, and transesophageal (and intraesophageal) ultrasound. Exercise Stress Testing 12 Lead EKG
Basic overview of the types of procedures performed, lead placement, indications, contraindications, common medications and patient assessment and care techniques. The learner will provide a review of electrode placement, rhythm review, and the proper protocol for performing the procedures. Introduction to Interventional Cardiology Orientation program
This course is designed for the novice employee in a high-risk lab or the diagnostic laboratory, who would like an overview of the numerous interventional techniques. This course includes such topics as PTCA, stenting, Rotablator, Cutting balloon, and drug eluting stents. This course can also be modified to give a more in depth detailing of the indications, contraindications, risks, and equipment that are used in interventional procedures. On-site course, CEU Offering Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory: First session: Held within the first two weeks of employment. Includes: Pathophysiology, coronary artery disease, angiographic assessment, Catheter selection, right and left heart catheterization. The second three to four weeks after initial employment includes hemodynamics coronary artery assessment, basic intervention, x-ray production and radiation safety. Our orientation program enables your staff to concentrate on the hands-on while we concentrate on the didactic portion. Pacemakers Pathophysiology
This course focuses on the fundamental principles of pacemakers. This course will explain the various infections that are predominant in the invasive cardiac cath environment, the proper aseptic techniques necessary to work safely in the scrub position, hand washing protocols, gowning, gloving, and working within a sterile field.
